MegaChips offers a broad array of
technical solutions to the issues facing customers

MegaChips was established in 1990 with a unique business model: to be a fabless company focused on R&D. Since then, we have built a reputation for developing high value-added LSIs, characterized by our fabless operation and partnering with our customers in product development in the areas of images, audio and communications. With the digital equipment market expanding rapidly, product functionality has improved and the array of products is expanding. Accordingly, customer needs are becoming increasingly sophisticated and diversified.
Capitalizing on our technologies and expertise in images, audio and communications that we have cultivated since the foundation of our Company, we have been offering a broad variety of solutions geared to customer needs, ranging from LSIs to the development of final system products.

MegaChips has a demonstrated track record in developing high performance system LSIs that deliver many different features. We respond flexibly to customer needs for modules and boards embedded with chips, peripheral devices and software and for the development of final products, including the cases.
Without being constrained by costly investment in production facilities the factory operation rates, MegaChips concentrates its resources on research and development, to consistently achieve timely launches of highly unique technologies and products that customers and markets seek. Our R&D is concentrated on image, audio and communications, so that we can offer system LSIs and system products equipped with unique algorithms*1 and architectures*2 in these sectors.
*1 An algorithm is a set of steps, procedures or methods to achieve a process or action, defined using mathematical expressions, for instance.
*2 A structure refers to a design principle, including hardware and software configurations for the implementation of an algorithm.
This paves the way for multifarious forms of production matched with product features and for fulfilling customer demands.
