We are aiding the transition to higher value-added, digital, single-lens reflex cameras that offer the fastest high-resolution image processing, noise reduction, and backlight processing in the world with our PixessorTM image processing unit. The PixessorTM is compatible with image sensors up to 64 megapixels and combines the high speeds of hardware processing with a flexibility that approaches software processing.
We have also developed IP (partial circuit data that make up LSI) compatible with JPEG XR, the international standard for next-generation still image compression formats.Consequently, we seek to make a major contribution to the evolution of next-generation digital cameras.

MegaChips' LSIs for receiving digital terrestrial broadcasting boasts one of the world's smallest package sizes while providing such features as high sensitivity and low power consumption to earn high marks from corporate customers. They ensure that the image is rarely disrupted even at high-speed movement and that broadcasting is received in poor signal conditions. Designed to play image and audio data received on systems, LSIs for decoding this broadcasting enable smooth video playback at an increased number of frames per second and simultaneous multi-channel viewing while slashing power consumption.

MegaChips offers modules for one-segment digital terrestrial broadcasting (commonly known as "one-seg"). They consist of MegaChips-brand "one-seg" reception and decoding LSIs as core components, peripheral circuitry and related software. They allow customers manufacturing mobile systems to add the "one-seg" viewing feature to their products by performing software settings and other simple operations.

MegaChips' image systems for security and monitoring areas include digital monitoring cameras, digital image recording systems and image transmission servers for sending images to remote locations. They are based on our own image compression and communication-related technologies. These solutions are offered to security firms and elevator companies to make communities safer and more secure.
