1990 Apr MegaChips is established in Suita, Osaka Prefecture, and starts a contract development operation.
1991 Aug Customer specific LSI (ASIC) business starts.
1995 Sep MegaChips-brand application specific LSI (ASSP) business begins.
  Oct Systems business unit is set up.
1996 Jan Head office moves to Yodogawa-ku, Osaka.
1997 Jul Taiwan branch office opens in Taipei, Taiwan.
1998 Feb Tokyo sales office, responsible for sales in the eastern area of Japan, opens.
  Aug MegaChips is listed on the Japanese OTC market.
  Dec

Visual Communication Inc., a joint venture with Mitsui & Co., Ltd., is established in Osaka for sales of systems products.

2000 Apr Visual Communication, Inc. is merged with Cameo Interactive, Ltd., to form a new company, Megafusion Corporation. Audio authoring business begins.
Dec MegaChips is listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. (TSE: 6875)
2004 Feb The MegaChips group obtains ISO14001 certification.
Apr After groupwide restructuring, MegaChips Corporation shifts to the holding company, under which two subsidiaries are formed: MegaChips LSI Solutions, Inc. for the LSI business; and MegaChips System Solutions, Inc. for the systems business and audio
authoring business.
Audio authoring business is transferred to a newly established subsidiary, Cameo Interactive. Ltd.
Oct MegaChips Corporation sells all the issued shares of its wholly-owned subsidiary Cameo Interactive, Ltd. to the e frontier, Inc.
2005 May MegaChips Corporation acquires 100% stake in Shun Yin Investment Ltd. and concludes a business alliance agreement with Macronix International Co., Ltd.
2006 Mar

The MegaChips group obtains ISO9001 certification.

2007 Apr

MegaChips Corporation adapts a resolution to merge its subsidiaries MegaChips LSI Solutions Inc. and MegaChips Systems Solutions Inc.
