System Consulting Service

MegaChips provides system consulting to help customers solve every issue and concern, effectively and flexibly. Based on our expertise in the system and application that we have accumulated over many years of experience, we provide diversified solutions tailored to our customers, supporting customers' specialties and areas of emphasis while covering their peripheral technologies.
Specifically in LSI development, we provide a wide range of support services to meet customer requirements and environmental needs with the following examples.

• Design and support of architectures such as CPU/BUS.
• Considerations of verification strategies for the entire LSI, along with the building and support of a verification environment that can be commonly used
• System-level ES evaluations, as well as the building and support of software development environments
• Support for building software environments for customer products

Architecture Design

We provide CPU and peripheral systems (e.g., buses, peripherals) based on customers’ performance requirements. We also propose performance improvements with CPU multi-cores (e.g., preliminary considerations for the optimization of the number of cores), power-saving methods (e.g., dynamic switching of the clock frequency), and debugging functions (e.g., suggestions and explanations of various options). We can also provide services such as a bus traffic analysis based on ESL requirements.
In addition, we provide comprehensive development support for newly required H/W modules, including the examination of specifications, design, verification, and the evaluation of ES as needed.

System Design

We develop CPU peripheral modules that satisfy the specifications of the chip, and conduct the verifications of the function and performance, as well as the power estimate. We also build an environment for system-level function verification and conduct it in a detailed manner according to the customers’ use case. When required, we implement a system in FPGA environments and verify the system or develop software in advance. Furthermore, we also provide design services that systematize customers' algorithms with high-level synthesis.
